Personal data processing

This is a draft: the final text comes from the project administration or a lawyer. Until it is approved, below is what data the site actually processes.

Who processes the data

The administration of 4everWoW. Contact details will be added in the final version.

What data and why

• E-mail address — to create an account, sign in, send a sign-up or password reset link and notify you about a password change.
• Password — the site passes it to the game account server and stores neither the password itself nor anything derived from it.
• IP address — to limit password guessing and e-mail sending; the site keeps it in memory only, and only for the length of the limit window.
• Technical session cookie — so that you stay signed in; it lives 30 days after your last visit and is removed when you sign out.
• Forum name and a technical forum sign-in cookie — so that the forum recognises you by your site account; all forum readers see the name, the cookie lives 30 days and is removed when you sign out of the site. Forum posts are visible to everyone.

Who we share it with

Your e-mail address and password go only to the game account server, over a private channel. Account data is not passed to ad networks or other third parties; the site has no counters or third-party scripts.

How long we keep it

• The e-mail address is kept while the account exists.
• A sign-up link is valid for 24 hours, a password reset link for 1 hour.

Your rights

You can find out what data about you is stored, ask to correct it or delete your account — write to the project administration.
